Updated over 6 months ago

📖 Steps to enable 2FA

  1. Go to your profile

    • Open the El Dorado app and go to the Profile section.

  2. Select “Security”

    • Inside your profile, find the Security option and tap Enable 2FA.

  3. Download an authenticator app

    • We recommend Google Authenticator or Authy (available for iOS and Android).

  4. Scan the QR code

    • From your authenticator app, scan the QR code displayed in El Dorado.

    • This will generate dynamic 6-digit codes linked to your account.

  5. Confirm activation

    • Enter the 6-digit code generated by your app to complete 2FA activation.

🔒 Important notes

  • The 2FA code refreshes every 30 seconds.

  • If you change your phone, you’ll need to reconfigure 2FA. Keep the backup code provided by your authenticator app.

  • Never share your verification codes with anyone, not even the El Dorado team.

💡 Useful tips

  • Enable 2FA as soon as possible to secure your account.

  • Keep your authenticator app on a trusted device.

  • Use a strong password along with 2FA for maximum security.
