What are Shipments?
Shipments let you send money from a payment method in your local currency and have it arrive in another currency and another country, all within a single operation. You don't need to create multiple orders or do manual conversions â we handle the process so it's simple and secure.
You can send to your own accounts or to third-party accounts.

How is my shipment processed?
Depending on the destination country, your shipment is processed using the most convenient method, with no need for you to choose it manually:
Through merchants (P2P): completed via El Dorado's merchant network.
Through automatic settlement: the transfer is processed automatically to the beneficiary's account, without going through merchants.
Either way, the money arrives in the local currency of the destination country.
How long does it take to arrive?
The settlement time depends on the destination country and is always shown before you confirm. In some countries it's instant; in others it may take a few hours.
When you confirm you'll see "Starting the transfer", and once finished:
Instant settlement â "Transfer completed successfully"
Deferred settlement â "Transfer started successfully" (this is normal: the money is on its way and arrives within the stated time)
You'll always see the amount sent, the amount received, the exchange rate, the settlement time, and the payment method used.
Which currencies and payment methods can I use?
When starting a shipment you choose the currency and method you send from, and the currency and account where the money is received. In some countries, such as Argentina or Brazil, only one method is available and the system selects it automatically so you can continue.
Do I need to meet any requirements?
To send to destinations with automatic settlement, you need your identity verification at Level 2 (KYC L2). If you're at Level 1, complete verification before sending.
Is my money safe during the shipment?
Yes. Throughout the process your money is protected, every step is recorded, and you can check the status anytime from the app.
If something isn't progressing as expected, you can contact support. For shipments through merchants, you can also start a dispute from the order.
How is this different from how it worked before?
Previously, to send money between currencies, you had to create one order to buy and another to sell. With Shipments everything happens in a single operation, with fewer steps and less room for error.
